What an Honor!

Life is filled with many surprises...many of which are wonderful happenings in our lives, while others, unfortunately, are devastating and unimaginable. Joey's accident on a beautiful November morning would best be described by the latter two.  After having been told Joey had a matter of hours to live, his family, friends, community, and countlless others who we had never met, didn't and wouldn't believe that prognosis. "We Believe" became our mantra for Joey...and for ourselves. Since that time, Joey has gone from a very sick 10 year old boy, to a very determined, smart, and funny 14-year-old young man. What Joey lost on that bright, Fall morning can never be gotten back, but what Joey has gained since then, can never be taken away. Being chosen as Nevada's CMN Hospitals Champion Child is an both an honor and a responsibility Joey and his family do not take lightly. Just as a community of believers saw us through the worst and most difficult time of our lives, we, too, want to continue to spread that same message of hope, and an unconditional and unwavering belief that these children's best days are yet to come. Thank you for allowing us to be part of CMN Hospitals. The honor is all ours.
